Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy

At DIGITALONETECH, we want customers to understand how returns, refunds, exchanges, and product faults are handled. The terms below explain the process that applies when a customer experiences an issue with a purchased product.

1. Before You Purchase

Customers are encouraged to make sure that the product they are purchasing is suitable for their intended use before completing the transaction.

This includes checking relevant specifications, compatibility, model numbers, storage capacity, colour, accessories, and other product details where applicable.

A change of mind or selecting the incorrect product does not necessarily qualify for a return or refund and will be handled in accordance with DIGITALONETECH's applicable return terms and South African consumer law.

2. Product Faults

If a product develops a fault that may be covered by its applicable warranty, the customer should contact DIGITALONETECH and provide proof of purchase.

The product may need to be examined or tested to establish the nature and cause of the problem.

Where a legitimate manufacturing defect is confirmed, DIGITALONETECH will determine the appropriate remedy in accordance with the applicable warranty and consumer protection requirements. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a repair, replacement, or refund.

3. Product Assessment

Products returned because of a suspected fault may be inspected by DIGITALONETECH or, where appropriate, an authorised repair or service centre.

The assessment is used to determine whether the reported issue is consistent with a manufacturing defect or whether it resulted from damage, misuse, or another cause outside the applicable warranty.

A warranty claim may not cover problems resulting from circumstances such as:

  • Accidental or physical damage
  • Exposure to liquid or moisture
  • Incorrect use or handling
  • Neglect or improper care
  • Unauthorised repairs, alterations, or modifications
  • Ordinary deterioration through use
  • Damage caused after the product was received by the customer

This list does not limit any rights that may apply to the customer under South African law.

4. Pre-Owned Products

Pre-owned devices may show signs of previous use, including cosmetic marks or other imperfections.

The condition of a pre-owned product will be communicated or represented to the customer before purchase. Cosmetic characteristics that were disclosed before the sale do not, by themselves, constitute a product defect.

Pre-owned products remain subject to any applicable warranty or consumer rights associated with the purchase.

5. Proof of Purchase

Customers requesting a return, refund, repair, replacement, or warranty assessment may be required to provide suitable proof that the product was purchased from DIGITALONETECH.

Examples may include an invoice, receipt, order confirmation, or other valid purchase record.

6. How to Request Assistance

If you believe there is a problem with your product, contact DIGITALONETECH as soon as possible with your proof of purchase and a description of the issue.

Our team will advise you on the next steps and, where necessary, arrange for the product to be assessed.

7. Consumer Rights

Nothing contained in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or remove any rights or remedies that a customer may have under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

Where a statutory right applies, DIGITALONETECH will handle the matter in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
